Privacy and SI/AI

Body Quantification ("BQ", "we") runs bodyquantification.com, our ISAK anthropometry courses, athlete testing and consulting, and our online calculators. Part 1 of this page explains what information we collect, why, and what choices you have. Part 2 sets out our standard for using super intelligence and artificial intelligence (SI/AI). Body Quantification is a trade name (DBA) of Goldstandard Systems, Inc., an Illinois corporation.

PART 1. PRIVACY

Information you give us

Contact form: your name, email, the topic, your message, and, if you choose, your phone number and organization. The form runs on Microsoft Forms in our Microsoft 365 account.

Email updates: if you say yes to email updates (at checkout, on a consent form or from a link we send you), your name, email, the date and where you said yes. We send these emails through Brevo, from win@bodyquantification.com. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and once you unsubscribe we do not sign you up again unless you ask. We never ask models under 18.

Meeting bookings: your name, email, the topic and any notes you add. Bookings run on Microsoft Bookings and create a Microsoft Teams meeting.

Course registration and purchases: your name, email, billing details and the course details you give at checkout, including any optional organization, role, profile link or headshot link. Payments are handled by our payment providers (Stripe, Klarna if you choose to pay over time, and PayPal); we do not see or store your full card number.

ISAK accreditation: when you register for an ISAK course, your current ISAK level, when it expires, and, where the level needs it, how many profiles you have in ISAKMetry and the courses you have taught. As accredited ISAK instructors we also check your level and status in ISAK's own system, and keep your level, expiry date and who checked it in our student records. We use this to confirm you can take the level you chose, to enter you in the ISAK system before the course as ISAK requires, and, if you said yes to email updates, to remind you before your accreditation expires. Reaccreditation candidates are also checked with the ISAK Secretariat.

Member accounts: the name and email you use to sign in to BQ Members, our members area.

Measurement consent: before course students can use BQ Members, and before anyone is measured as a model, we ask for written consent to anthropometric measurement. We keep the statements you agreed to, your answer about photos and video, your email updates answer, the name you typed as your signature, the date and time, and the internet address it was signed from.

Models: people who volunteer to be measured on our courses sign up for a free BQ Members account through a link or QR code we give them, with their name, email and, if they choose, phone. For a model under 18, a parent or legal guardian gives consent and we keep their name, relationship to the model and contact details, and we recommend using the parent or guardian's email for the account. If we give a model their measurement results, we upload them as a PDF to their account; only the model (or their parent or guardian) and Body Quantification admins can open it.

Photos and video: we sometimes take photos and video during courses to show how anthropometry is done. On the consent form you choose yes, yes without your face, or no, and you can change your answer at any time. Your measurement results are never posted with your name.

Student price: if you apply for the full time student price, your name, personal email, school, school email and current term, and the proof of enrollment you upload (a PDF or photo). We email a code to your school email to confirm it is yours. Only your course instructors (Body Quantification admins) can open your proof, and the file is deleted as soon as they approve or decline; we keep only who checked it, when, and your school and term.

Course videos: if you are a student on one of our courses, the course you are on and, for each course video, when you started it, which parts you watched, how many times you came back to it and when you finished it. Only Body Quantification admins can see this. We use it to check that course videos are watched before and during your course and, for blended courses, to keep the proof ISAK asks for that the online theory was completed before the practical exam. If your course has a live online Q&A, we also record when you open its link from BQ Members and whether your instructor marked you present.

Emails you send us, and anything you choose to include in them.

Our online calculators

The 5-Way, Youth Growth and Wrestling Minimum Weight calculators run in your web browser. Measurements you type, import from a spreadsheet or enter on the data sheet stay on your device and are not sent to us or saved by us.

If you choose to read data from a photo, video, recording or live dictation, that file or audio is sent over an encrypted connection to our secured capture service, which uses SI/AI (Anthropic's Claude and Cloudflare Workers AI) to read the values back to you. It is processed for that request only and is not saved on our servers. Nothing is filled in until you check and accept the values.

Coaches, clinicians and other professionals often enter measurements for their own clients, including young athletes. They are responsible for having permission to do so. Because the calculators do not keep the data, we do not hold those clients' measurements.

SI/AI and your information

We use SI/AI tools under our SI/AI standard in Part 2: evidence first, technology assisted, human verified. SI/AI providers process information only to return a result to us.

We do not use your personal information, or measurements of you or your clients, to train SI/AI models.

Dr. Skully, our SI/AI assistant for members, is open to a small test group first. You sign in with a code emailed from win@bodyquantification.com. He answers only from the BQ Library and our calculators, and the values on your screen are shared with him only if you allow it. A chat is kept in your browser for that visit only. Your measurements, uploads and chats are not saved on our servers. Questions are logged with numbers removed and kept for 90 days to improve answers and find gaps in the library.

How we use information

  • to answer your questions and arrange meetings;
  • to register you for courses, take payment, send course details and issue certificates;
  • to give members access to member content;
  • to remind course students by email, from win@bodyquantification.com, to finish their course videos: 14, 7 and 2 days before the course (and, for blended courses, when the online theory opens), on its first and last days, and then weekly until the videos are done or access ends six months after the first day; and the day before and the morning of any live online Q&A;
  • to send course students, after their course, a message from their instructor about ISAK's course survey and the profiles ISAK asks for after the course;
  • to send email updates (reaccreditation reminders, new course dates, practical anthropometry tips and occasional BQ offers) only to people who said yes;
  • to keep a record of measurement consent and photo and video choices, and to give models their results;
  • to keep the website working and secure;
  • to meet legal, tax and accounting duties.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising profiles.

Cookies

Our website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. BQ Members uses one cookie to keep you signed in. Our payment providers use their own cookies on their payment pages, for security and to prevent fraud. You can clear cookies in your browser settings at any time; you will then need to sign in again.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that run our services for us, and only as needed to provide them: Cloudflare (website hosting, the members area, calculator hosting and the capture service), Microsoft (email, including course emails, Forms, Bookings, Teams and file storage), Brevo (email updates, only for people who said yes), Anthropic (SI/AI that reads values in the capture service and powers Dr. Skully) and our payment providers, Stripe, Klarna and PayPal. If you choose Klarna, Klarna receives what it needs to offer you payment over time, under its own terms and privacy notice. To certify you, we also give ISAK the details it asks for to enter you in the ISAK system and record your results. We may also share information when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages and booking details as long as needed to respond and follow up, and course and payment records as long as needed for certification, accounting and tax purposes. Course video records (including live Q&A attendance and your instructor's theory check) are kept until two years after your course ends, as ISAK requires, and after that until you ask us to delete them. Measurement consents are kept as long as the course records they belong to. Model results are kept until you ask us to delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to records we must keep by law.

Children

Our website and courses are for adults. Young people under 18 may be measured as models on our courses only with consent from a parent or legal guardian, who completes the consent form; we do not send them email updates. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use encrypted connections, accounts protected by sign in and services from established providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send health records or other sensitive information through our forms.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop receiving emails from us, by writing to the address below. We will reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

PART 2. OUR SI/AI STANDARD

Body Quantification embraces SI/AI, machine learning, and advanced computational technologies as tools for improving scientific research, analysis, education, and communication.

Evidence first. Technology assisted. Human verified.

We use these technologies to enhance—not replace—scientific expertise, professional judgment, validated methodologies, original research, and critical evaluation.

Our approach is informed by internationally recognized frameworks and principles for responsible SI/AI, including the NIST Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework (AI RMF), ISO/IEC 42001 Artificial Intelligence Management System principles, OECD Principles on Artificial Intelligence, and applicable scientific publishing guidance, including recommendations from the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).

How We Use SI/AI and Computational Tools

Depending on the project, these technologies may assist with:

  • Scientific literature discovery and organization
  • Review and synthesis of research
  • Identification and verification of references
  • Data organization and analysis
  • Statistical and mathematical calculations
  • Comparison of research findings
  • Development and verification of equations and computational tools
  • Document and dataset review
  • Transcription and information extraction
  • Development of tables, figures, graphics, and visualizations
  • Educational content development
  • Scientific writing, editing, and communication

The use of these tools does not make their output scientific evidence.

Scientific Verification

Scientific claims should ultimately be supported by the underlying evidence rather than by the SI/AI system used to help identify or analyze that evidence.

For substantive scientific and technical content, Body Quantification seeks to:

  • Trace claims to their source. Whenever practical, important scientific claims are traced to original research, authoritative technical documentation, or other credible primary sources.
  • Verify references. SI/AI-generated or SI/AI-identified citations are not assumed to be accurate. References should be verified against the original publication or a recognized bibliographic source.
  • Verify the evidence behind the citation. The existence of a publication is not sufficient. We seek to confirm that the study actually supports the statement for which it is cited.
  • Check quantitative information. Important values, equations, statistics, units, sample characteristics, methodologies, and reported results should be checked against source materials when appropriate.
  • Consider scientific context. Individual findings are interpreted within the limitations of the methodology, population studied, measurement technology, and broader scientific literature.
  • Separate evidence from interpretation. Established findings, emerging evidence, hypotheses, professional interpretation, and opinion should not be presented as equivalent forms of evidence.
  • Maintain human oversight. Responsibility for the final scientific interpretation and communication remains with qualified individuals, not the technology used to assist the work.

Human Accountability

SI/AI cannot assume responsibility for the accuracy or scientific integrity of our work.

Human subject-matter experts remain responsible for evaluating evidence, identifying limitations, interpreting results, and determining what conclusions are appropriate.

This is particularly important in body composition, anthropometry, bioimpedance, sports science, nutrition, and human performance, where results can be influenced by measurement methodology, equipment, equations, biological variability, testing protocols, population characteristics, and assumptions within individual models.

Transparency

When SI/AI or machine learning materially contributes to scientific work, its use should be disclosed when appropriate to the type of publication or communication.

For formal scientific publications, we seek to follow the SI/AI disclosure requirements of the applicable journal and relevant scientific publishing standards.

SI/AI systems are not considered authors or scientific references. Where possible, the original evidence supporting a scientific statement is cited rather than the SI/AI system that assisted in locating, analyzing, organizing, or communicating that evidence.

Data, Privacy & Confidentiality

Confidential, proprietary, personally identifiable, unpublished, or otherwise protected information should only be processed using technologies and systems appropriate for that information and consistent with applicable agreements, privacy requirements, research protocols, and professional responsibilities.

Access to an SI/AI tool does not automatically make that tool appropriate for confidential information.

SI/AI-Generated Images and Media

SI/AI-assisted graphics, illustrations, video, and other media may be used to improve communication and education.

When an image represents scientific data, a measurement method, research finding, instrument, individual, or other factual subject, reasonable steps should be taken to ensure that the representation does not materially misrepresent the underlying information.

SI/AI-generated illustrations should not be presented as original experimental data, actual research images, or authentic photographs when they are not.

How This Applies to Our Tools

Our calculators are not SI/AI. The 5-Way, Youth Growth, Wrestling Minimum Weight and Full Level 2 calculators use published equations, are checked against their source publications and fixed test cases, carry a version number, and change only with Dr. Moon's approval.

Reading your data sheets. When you read values from a photo, PDF, spreadsheet, recording or dictation, SI/AI reads the values, reports only what is clearly there and flags anything unclear. Every value is shown to you to confirm or correct, and nothing is calculated until you accept it. Files are processed for that request only and are not saved.

Continuous Review and Correction

Scientific knowledge evolves, and computational technologies change rapidly.

Body Quantification supports correcting or updating materials when errors are identified, better evidence becomes available, methodologies change, or previous interpretations are no longer supported by the available evidence.

Our objective is not simply to use SI/AI more frequently.

It is to use technology to increase the efficiency, accessibility, reproducibility, and quality of scientific work while maintaining the standards of evidence required to support it.

To report an error, write to support@bodyquantification.com.

Our Standard

Evidence first. Technology assisted. Human verified.

The authority behind a scientific claim is the quality of the evidence supporting it—not the technology used to find, analyze, or communicate it.
